During a recent visit to Kettering University, Dr. Baqersad hosted Johann Pankau for an in-depth tour of the NVHEM Lab, showcasing its state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge research. The visit featured student presentations on past and current projects, highlighting the Kettering University’s impressive capabilities, which include:

• Polytec 3D scanning vibrometer
• Two pairs of Photron high-speed cameras
• VIC-3D vibration module
• MicroStrain wireless data acquisition system
• Anechoic Chamber
• Data acquisition systems from Head Acoustics and Siemens
• Advanced NVH evaluation and FEM software packages
• Access to chassis NVH dynamometer chambers

Impressed by the lab’s advanced equipment and the scope of its projects, NVH Consulting LLC and Kettering University have agreed to a mutually beneficial collaboration. NVH Consulting LLC will provide valuable industry experience to support Kettering’s NVH projects, focusing on areas such as tire NVH, ride comfort, and brake systems. In return, Kettering’s NVHEM Lab will serve as a key resource for NVH Consulting LLC’s projects, offering access to its world-class facilities and expertise.
